Welcome to Morah Jordana’s Schoolhouse!

Morah Jordana’s Schoolhouse is a licensed Group Family Daycare. We care for a maximum of 12 children ages 3 months - 5 years and share our day together as one big family. Infants (under 12 months) Toddlers (12-24 months) and Big Kids (24-5 months) participate in the same schedule and activities as is developmentally appropriate. 
 

The home-like communal play space is thoughtfully planned so the differing age groups can separate and individuate when needed or requested. The learning opportunities abound in a program with mixed ages just as they would in a real family dynamic.  

 

We are located on a quiet tree lined street in central Riverdale in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our building has a private gated playground and is right up the block from Seton Park and Spuyten Duyvil playground, aka "The Shabbos Park". We are an in-home daycare which means that our family of four, my husband and I, along with our teenage twins, live in the same apartment in which the daycare resides.

The apartment is carefully designed to meet the needs of our family and to maximize the healthy early child development of our growing little charges.

We offer a full-day program from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm as well as half-day, with part-time and full-time options. We are in session for 10 months of the year and offer a summer program for children ages 2 -5. For more detailed information please reach out to us!
